"The evap is totally frozen solid, both compartments are too warm. Ice is melting. This unit is from the early 90's. Hopefully it is a timer or a bi metal. They are going to defrost it so they can get it cooling again. (by FW)"

customer complained of a loud noise. Upon arrival and inspection I found the unit had to come home for mice. I cleaned it thoroughly as well as replaced the idler. the dryer is now fixed. Note the customer had had service previously and already paid for an idler that was uninstalled. I know this is outside normal bounds but I did this for her because shes a good returning customer will continue to send us business. The dryer is now fixed.

I replaced the infinite switch and tested the range. It is now fixed. Please send a invoice via US mail thank you.

Customer complains that the fridge freezes food in the fresh food section. She has had many issues over the last few months and will only accept replacement. I suspect The fridge has a sealed system issue is running overtime causing the freezing. I know Paul and Delton both have had this issue after replacing both the board and the thermostat. See SD quickpics for all the previous notes from Centerpoint gas. One way or the other this either needs to go to authorizations or be transferred for a failed sealed system. Note this customer was extremely agitated when I arrived incredibly unhappy I dont feel there is anyway to please her outside of a replacement. I recommend distancing ourselves as she is a time bomb. When I arrived I measured 34 at the back bottom corner of the fresh food section. I had mid teens in the freezer section. The manual air valve was in the optimal position for warming up the fridge and cooling the freezer the temperature was adjusted accordingly with what the owners manual said. for her issue. There is a note from Centerpoint gas that says theres no further repair possible on this refrigerator.; saved tckt

New issue bill for labor. Customers new complain is the dryer makes funny humming noise during the cycle after they had the dryer vent cleaned. Original complaint was dry are not drying this is due to a bad vent.Upon arrival and inspection I watch the dryer cycle and after the third cycle the gas valves begin to chatter. I replaced the failed coil kit and watch for five more cycles. The noise went away. The dryer is working as designed.; used 1 5303931775 (COIL KIT) from stock

Customer complains to cycle will not complete and the dishwasher is not working and getting an F2 error. Upon arrival and inspection I found a single drawer unit. The dishwasher was heavily contaminated and the rotor would not turn freely by hand. I removed the spray arm filters and rotor assembly and found mineral chunks keeping the unit from spinning freely. I cleaned it and put it back together the rotor spins more freely but not as it should. The contamination is so bad the unit is unable to work as designed. Please call Into Authorizations as I dont know if they will do anything to help this customer due to the extreme contamination. The customer will call us back on Monday morning and tell us if the unit has recovered after use I have a citric acid base cleaner over the weekend.; saved tckt

Customers concern is that the air fry option is not working as designed. They feel the fan is not working during the cycle. I called and spoke with technical support theres very little documentation on this new model. After having a conversation with them I checked voltage from the main board down to the convection fan assembly. I found 120 volts AC at the fan but the fan was not turning. The fan blade and fan spins freely without obstruction. The unit needs a fan - eau61865305 it appears that they have zero at the factory currently per Marcone. I found ice build up all over the ice bucket and Im the ice compartment. After I was able to get the ice housing out I found that the fill tube was no straight and slightly bent to the left. Per the Lg bulletin I bent the fill tube to the right so the water goes in the middle of the fill cup and will not spray out the top. I did two fill test and water does not drip out the fill cup.

Complaint was unit timer not working right. Needs new console and timer. This is a rental and they will let us know if they want repaired. Quote is $515.00 roughly. Unit is about 5-8 years old

"Told by inspector that dishwasher was leaking. Looked it over, and there is uniform dust under dishwasher, zero evidence of water. In pan under bottom drawer, there were a few drips, but after inspecting found that it was from the condensation on the ceiling of the bottom drawer, which drips a little when you have the drawer pulled out. Its normal. Nothing leaking. Everything good."

I found the ice bucket was not able to lift up and be pulled out because it was hitting the bottom of the ice maker. The ice maker was not clipped in on the left side. I removed the ice maker and reinstalled it. Now the bucket works good. The customer was able to remove it.

I found no problem with the heater. In diagnostics the f7-e1 not heating error code came up. The heater does cycle on in diagnostics and when I ran a 1 hour wash. At the end of diagnostics no other error codes came up. I advised the customer to clean the dishwasher with a cleaner and then vinegar. I also advised to run the hot water from the sink before starting the dishwasher and try running it during the day versus at night.

"The left door and freezer door shut fine. The right door was getting hung up by the cam. The door is only designed to pull in at the last couple inches. The plastic camOn the door needs to crab the hook on the bottom hinge. I put some grease on the cam and hinge, I also raised the front so gravity will help close the door. The door shut better. Advised the customer that the 2 doors will close differently because of the weight in the door and the right door has the cam and the left door does not."

The touchpad is not responsive on the unit. She pushed the normla cycle a bunch of times and it did nothing. She finally got the lights on but could not get it to start then. Needs a new touchpad. "Dishwasher will stop mid cycle with water still on bottom. Found that top rack had resistance when trying to push door closed and very little pressure popped the door open. Found that there was a cup pushed back against the spray arm causing upper spray arm insert resistance on rack.Removed cup, tested and dishwasher drains and no issues. I showed customer where to not load dishes in that area. also there was no high loop, routed high loop for drain. Tested quick cycle and dishwasher is working good."

The unit is dead. There is a switch under the sink with some goofy wiring and the dishwasher did not work in either position. I am guessing the board is locked up. We will need to troubleshoot this. Don't forget to try the new thermistor if the heater won't work in diag mode. (by FW)

The display was flashing like it wanted to start but nothing would happen. I tried to cancel and drain but the cancel button did not respond. I put into a diagnostic test and it ran for a long time but seem to finish and pass the test with no error codes. After running a diagnostic cycle and power cycling the dishwasher three times I am still getting the same issue. The auto light will flash but the cycle will not start and you cannot do a cancel drain. It will not let you select any other cycle other than the auto. The issue is either with the main control board or the wash pump assembly. I gave the customer a quote for each but they wanted to think about it. Dishwasher is not heating during a cycle. Pot arrival an inspection I have pulled control panel apart and visually inspected the control board and it looked fine. I left door skin off and ran unit and tested the heater relay. The relay worked perfectly. The heater assembly has failed. I quoted replacement of heater and inlet valve as the unit was not dosing properly to little water. the customer will reach back out to us if they want to move forward with repair. I quoted via bluebook.

The wash motor was stuck. I was able to get freed up but its pretty loud. The motor would need to be replaced. The motor is not longer available and it might not be worth fixing this older unit.

The dryer would tumble it just had a mocking sound. I removed the drum and found the 2 rear rollers had flat spots and one of the front rollers was not spinning. I replaced 3 of the drum rollers and vacuumed out the dryer. ; used 3 4581EL3001E (ROLLER) from stock

I replaced the diffuser and cycled it open and closed. Everything sounds good.

Dishwasher dead. Confirmed 120 coming to board but not to touch pad. Quoted 338 for new board. Customer is moving so they are going to just buy a new one.

"Smelled gas and burning. I checked the oven, and cleaned some junk off the bottom pan. The spark ignitor ignited great, uniform blue flames. Checked all burners, good blue flames with orange tips.Looked under cook top, some mouse droppings. Vacuumed those out. Took back off of the range, no charred wires or signs of burnt wires or connections. Put blue liquid on burner orfices and no leaking gas. Ran oven and no burning smell or bad smells. They have been painting. Told them about VOCs."

The oven door does not close and seal properly as well as the control board and UI assembly has fallen back into the consul. "Customer complains that the oven temperature is no longer consistent and unit does not and will not save the time and doesnt always respond to commands given. Upon arrival and inspection I found the oven was running cool. 32° to be precise. I put unit into calibration and calibrated up 20° and the temperature run Rose 100° on average. I made two other adjustments through manual calibration and unit is not saving the details. I suspect whichever is the main board that saves and has the memory and programming on it will need to be replaced. "The dishwasher will fill with the correct amount of water. The issue is the wash motor will not pump the water, it tries but its very weak and it sounds loud when it tries. I could not locate the motor in stock. The customer would like more research to see if we can find a new motor, he does not want a used one and a quote please. Everything works on the unit except no heat. I looked at the wire diagram and it appears to be the board or magnetron. We stock this mag- 2m248J (by FW)

I replaced the failed spring kit. The door now has the proper resistance and does not fall open.

I verified the top frame is not bending down. I replaced the suspension rods in front and on back. I also bent the bottom base down. I tried it twice on a large load and it was much better. The pulley does not scrape the bottom.

Customers complaint with the fridge is its not cooling. Upon arrival and inspection I found the temperatures were 69 in the fresh food section 52 in the freezer. The evaporator fans were running the condenser fan was running and I found the compressor running. Failed sealed system was found please transfer.; saved tckt

Not drying. Upon arrival and inspection I found the dryer had heat but the vent head failed. The vent at the outside of the house was 12 mph well the vent at the back of the machine was at 26 miles an hour. The customers had to vent clean but will have the guy come back out to get it done properly. In the meantime I shut off his gas valve beside his dryer per his authorization to keep down the risk of a house fire. The dryer is working as designed.

The customers complaint with the range top randomly will have yellow tipping and a smell that comes from the burner when in use. Upon arrival and inspection I found the orange flames were present. I checked and found the whole house humidifier was working and engaged. I sent a customer some reading materials on household pollutants and whole house humidifiers and their effect on ranges. the home has had recent remodel work and this could also be causing some of the yellow tipping.

Drain sock on the drain hose was plugged not allowing water to flow fast enough to drain properly. I removed it and tested. the wash machine is draining great. The transmission is not engaging after the neutral drain cycle completes. I tested it twice and could not get it to reengage and spin out the clothes in the drum. Transmissions unfortunately are not covered with their HomeSmart warranty and theres no replacement helper. The landlord was notified.
