Our Repair Warranty

10 years on parts and 60 days on labor for repairs you pay Omega Force for directly. What is covered, what is not, and how to make a warranty claim.

When you pay Omega Force directly for a repair, the parts we install are covered for 10 years and our labor is covered for 60 days. Here's exactly what that means, what isn't included, and how to reach us if something goes wrong.

CoverageHow longWhat it covers
Parts10 years from the date we install the partA part we installed that fails because of a defect in the part
Labor60 days from the date of serviceOur work to fix the same problem with the same failed part, at no charge

Who the warranty covers

This warranty applies to repairs paid for directly by the customer, including homeowners, renters, landlords and property managers.

It covers the appliance we repaired only while it stays installed at the address where we repaired it. If the appliance is moved to another location, the warranty ends for everyone.

If the home changes hands, the new owner can still have a covered part replaced at no charge for the part during the rest of the 10 years. Standard labor and diagnostic fees apply, and free labor and part refunds are available only to the customer who paid for the original repair.

Repairs paid for by someone else

When a manufacturer, home warranty company, extended service plan, insurance company or any other third party pays for your repair, our 10-year parts and 60-day labor warranty does not apply. The only warranty on that repair is the one that company offers you, and any warranty claim goes through them, not through Omega Force.

If you're not sure who's paying for your repair, ask us and we'll tell you before any work begins.

Members of our appliance protection plans are covered by the terms of their plan.

What's covered

Parts. If a part we installed fails within 10 years because of a defect in the part, we'll replace it with the same part or an equivalent one, at no charge for the part.

Labor. For the customer who paid for the repair, if the problem we were called for comes back within 60 days, there's no trip or diagnostic fee for us to come back and look.

  • Same part failed again: we fix it at no charge.
  • Our repair didn't fully fix the original problem: for example, a second part was also causing it. You pay only for any new part, and the labor is free.
  • A different, unrelated problem: that's a new repair. The trip and diagnostic fee and our standard parts and labor rates apply, and we'll quote it before we start.

Your technician or one of our service managers decides which of these applies, based on the problem you originally reported and the work we did.

After 60 days, a part we installed is still covered, but you're responsible for all labor costs, including the trip and diagnostic fee and the labor to install the replacement part.

If a part is no longer made, we'll use the closest equivalent part. If none is available, we'll refund what the original customer paid for that part. We don't refund parts to a later owner, or for an appliance that's no longer installed at the address where we repaired it.

What isn't covered

The warranty covers defects in the parts we install and in our workmanship. It doesn't cover failures caused by something else, including:

  • power surges, lightning, low or high voltage, or a faulty electrical supply
  • fire, flood, water damage, storms and other natural events
  • misuse, neglect, accidents, or not following the manufacturer's instructions
  • physical damage, such as impact, dropped items, broken glass, or bent or cracked parts
  • problems outside the appliance, such as household plumbing, drains, water supply, gas supply or dryer venting
  • hard water, sediment or poor water quality
  • improper installation by someone other than Omega Force
  • damage from pests or rodents, or from moving the appliance
  • appliances that have been moved from the address where we repaired them
  • repairs or changes made by anyone other than Omega Force
  • parts the customer supplied
  • cosmetic damage, such as scratches, dents or discoloration
  • other parts of the appliance that weren't part of our repair
  • appliances used commercially or shared by multiple households, such as a laundromat or a shared apartment laundry room

To protect expensive control boards on built-in and high-end appliances, we recommend a surge protector where the appliance allows one.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Contact us within the warranty period by phone or through our contact form. Have your invoice date or the address of the repair handy.
  2. Quick check by phone. A senior technician may call you first, to understand the problem and bring the right part on the first visit.
  3. Service visit. Your technician inspects the appliance. If the failure is covered, we fix it under the warranty.
  4. If it isn't covered, for example the 60 days have passed, it's a new and unrelated problem, or the damage comes from a cause listed above, the trip and diagnostic fee and our standard labor rates apply. We'll quote any repair before we start, and you decide.

Limits of this warranty

Our responsibility under this warranty is limited to replacing a covered part and correcting our workmanship. We aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as spoiled food, laundromat costs, lost use of the appliance, or damage to other property. Our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for the original repair.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state. Some states don't allow limits on incidental or consequential damages, so the limits above may not apply to you.

This warranty is provided by Omega Force Services, LLC, doing business as Omega Force Appliance Repair.
