From Our Family to Yours
Fixing appliances the way we'd want our own family's fixed. Since 2013.
It started with one tech and one idea
Before Omega Force existed, Phil Whiteford spent ten years as a repair technician with one of the best-known appliance service companies in the world, and he was one of its top-rated techs. He saw the whole industry from the inside, and he kept running into the same problem. Customers waited days for an appointment, then sat at home all day with no idea what time the technician would show up. Prices felt like a guess. The tech who showed up rarely knew what the last one had done. Homeowners were treated like ticket numbers.
Phil knew it could be done better. He wanted service that was friendlier, more flexible and more fair, at a price that felt right.
So in 2013 he started Omega Force Appliance Repair. He had one van, one set of tools, and one technician, himself. Every call was a house call from the owner. Every customer had his cell number. Every job was done the way he’d want it done in his own kitchen, with his wife Theresa and their seven kids around the table.
“I wanted to be known as the guy who does the job right, and treats people right, every time.”
Phil Whiteford, Founder
Then word got around
It turns out a lot of families were looking for exactly that. One happy customer told a neighbor, and that neighbor told their sister. One van became two, then ten.
Today Omega Force has more than 25 factory-trained technicians and has served more than 100,000 customers. Inc. named us one of America’s fastest-growing companies. We’ve grown into one of the largest appliance repair companies in the Midwest, serving the Twin Cities, St. Cloud and Rochester in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. We’re now proudly serving families in a third state, Southwest Florida, including Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero and Marco Island.
We repair every major household appliance, from the everyday washer and dryer to high-end brands like Sub-Zero, Wolf and Viking.
What hasn’t changed
We’ve added trucks, technicians, offices and two more states. We’ve also kept the things that got us here:
- We still treat your home like our mom’s home. Shoes off, floors and counters protected, and everything cleaned up before we leave.
- We still talk straight. You get clear, published pricing and no surprise bills.
- We still send the same face back. If your repair needs a second visit, the technician who diagnosed it almost always comes back to finish it.
- We still answer like a small business. Whenever our offices are open, a real, friendly person answers the phone.
- We still stand behind our work. If something isn’t right, we make it right.
Our mission is the same one Phil started with on day one. We treat your family the way we’d want ours treated. We’re just able to do it for a lot more families now.
Be a Force for Good
The world needs more everyday heroes: people who show up, treat others with respect, deliver what they promised and do things right. That’s who we hire, and that’s who we try to be on every call.
So when your fridge quits the night before Thanksgiving, or the washer floods the laundry room, call us. We’ll work hard to make your world a little better, one appliance at a time.
From our family to yours, thank you for trusting us with your home.
