Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

Intermittently leaks. I found the DW seal was quite dirty. I cleaned the seals and left instructions if it reoffends.

The compressor had failed. I replaced the main control, the filter drier and the compressor. I purged with nitrogen and found no leaks or restrictions. I pulled a deep vacuum for 15 minutes then recharged with 6.1 ounces of 134a. The high side pressure was around 110 and the suction pressure was around 25 psi. I advised them to wait 6 hours for it to cool and 24 before they fill it back up.

Unit not cooling. Verified complaint. Bad compressor. Replaced compressor and dryer. Vacuumed under 500 microns. Filled to correct amount of Freon. Let unit run while cleaning up.

Found that there was broken glass stuck in drain pump. Removed glass, tested and dishwasher now drains and is working good.

Customer complaint is, not draining or spinning. Inspected and tested. Found the washer is roaring when spinning and not changing back and forth between agitate and spin. Washer needs a new gear case, splutch, actuator and drive hub. Customer is just going to replace the washer.

Customer complaint is, NO ICE. Inspected and tested. Customer already had someone install ice maker kit and seal up the ice room. Found the ice maker was all frozen up. I defrosted ice maker and room and found the fill tube was pushed in to far. I adjusted fill tube and reassembled. Cycled ice maker and it filled with water. Ice maker seems to be working great.

Ice keeps forming on bottom of freezer. Found the drain line frozen up. Steamed it out, and made sure a whole cup of water drained well down it. Cleaned everything up. Temps are good now.
