Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

Upon inspection found dryer sheets stuck in blower wheel housing. Removed lint and dryer sheets, cleaned unit, and advised customer that the micro mesh lint screen should be rinsed under water before every load.

Removed old compressor, installed new compressor and filter drier, checked for leaks, pulled vacuum, added refrigerant, and verified the refrigerator is cooling properly.
“Super pleased! We called about our dead refrigerator in the middle of the afternoon and Omega Force had Brandon over here before the afternoon had ended. He told us what the problem was, that our warranty was likely applicable, and what paperwork we needed to take advantage of the warranty. Then he ordered the part needed to fix our problem. A few days later the part was in and Brandon returned, put in the part, and our refrigerator was back in business. We were happy with how quickly Omega Force “got the ball rolling”; with the way Brandon helped us with the warranty situation; and with the work he did to get our refrigerator functioning again. As well, we had a pretty interesting conversation with him about the frequent complaint that “They don’t make ‘em like they used to.””

Called tech line and ran full diagnostics to verify temperatures and component operation. Found the failed ice maker had caused the unit to stay in cooling mode without advancing to defrost. Performed a full system reset, steamed out the ice blockage, and ran test 56 to fill the ice container. Unit is working properly now.

Customer stated the unit was not heating. Diagnosed resettable TCO as tripped, reset it, reassembled the unit, and started a test cycle. Unit now heats to proper temperature and cycles normally.
