The customer had unplugged the unit because the fresh food light would not go out and the light switch was hot. They had plugged it back in shortly before I arrived. The kids were home when it happen. They said the freezer seemed ok but the fresh food was getting warm. Today I found the lights in the fresh food would not shut off and the light switch was burning hot. I removed the left light switch and tested it. The switch is testing bad. I pulled the wires off the switch so the lights turn off. It will need a new light switch. Please look up the part and contact the customer to reschedule. "Customer complaint is, THERE IS ICE FORMING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FRIDGE, UNDER THE drawer. Customer said underneath the FF compartment bottom drawer water is forming and freezing. Inspected and tested. Found the right return vent was plugged solid all the way down into the freezer evaporator. I defrosted vent and disassembled the freezer evaporator cover and the whole right side return vent was plugged solid with ice. I defrosted all the ice from the evaporator. I took apart the filter housing and ran a couple of gallons through it and it never leaked. I dont know where the water is coming from. Its completely dry while Im testing."

Today I replaced the wash motor. With the dishwasher pulled out I ran the dishwasher and verified its not leaking. I pushed it back in and ran again. The dishwasher is working and not leaking.

Because of the strong chemicals that are used in the restaurant the door gasket is deteriorating. I found water leaking from the gasket where it seals against the front tub. I ran the washer a few times and the drain cycle and you can hear the drain pump struggling to start. I cleaned the drain filter of the debris buildup but its still doing the same thing. I gave the customer a quote for a new door seal and drain pump. At this time customer declined repair because he may purchase a new combo washer and dryer set. The customers concern was with a squeak from his dryer. Upon arrival and inspection I found a small black discharge on the idler and there was a squeak the support rollers looked good. I pulled it apart and cleaned and oiled the rollers and idler. There is a bit of a panel rattle so I adjusted feet but the machine it helped with the rattle but it was not perfect. I looked but could not find any loose hardware on the bulkhead. No parts used just labor. Note customer asked about dryer vent outlets at the side of his home I recommended an option to help keep pests from entering the home.

I can get it to heat when I hold the timer, but stops when I let go. When it is heating, the heat spiked to 270F before I shut it off. The vent needs to be cleaned. Quoted customer $410. to install new timer and $100. to clean vent. Customer approved both. Cleaned out vent and ordering timer. Airflow on outside of house is now 22mph and back of dryer is 35mph. Installed new timer and tested. Dryer is heating great and cycling between 235F and 105F on high heat. Dryer is now fixed."

This is a built in refrigerator and Wright Hennepin does not cover built in so nothing is covered on it. The customer complaint is the fresh food is not getting to set temp and the over temp alarm is going off. The freezer is set to minus 10 and the fresh food was on max coldest setting. The freezer showed minus 10 and the fresh food showed 51. I found the cold air return was blocked so the fresh food was not getting good air flow in the section. There is frost and ice build up only on the right side of the evaporator and in the air ducts. A door may have been left ajar and allowed warm air to leak in and cause the frost and ice build up. The evaporator has normal amount of frost. The evaporator fan is working fine. The defrost is working fine. After I cleared the supply and return duct the air flow is better. Theirs a small chance it has a sealed system issue but as of today the evaporator looked good. Sometimes ice accumulating on the right side of the evaporator can be caused by a low charge which is caused by a leak in the sealed system.

The customer complaint was the center ring on the front right burner was not working. I turned on the burner and verified the center ring was not coming on but the other 2 were. I had the customer cut the power. I lifted up the top so I could test the element. After testing the center ring I found it was bad. I replaced the burner element. The customer turned the power back on and I tested the burner. All is working good now.

Customer complaint was the fresh food is not cooling. I found the fresh food section is not holding temp. I removed the fresh food evaporator cover and found the evaporator had a normal frost pattern and the fresh food fan was not running. I turned the fan by had and it just grind and squealed. I gave the customer a quoted for the fan. I replaced the fan. I also was able to tighten the screws on the freezer door handle. I peeled the cover back a little and when I did I found the foam cover was all broken into pieces. It looks like its been repaired before. The refrigerator will need the fresh food evaporator cover, drain kit , temp sensor and most likely the heater. I was unable to get the model with the revision number 6 to pull up parts. Please research and contact the customer with a quote. I added the BOM number, the revision number and added a pic. Please ask the customer to power it off for 24 hours with doors open. I found the whole lower bank of kitchen cabinets showed damage on the outside wall. The water leaked through into the basement as well. The customer will be making a homeowners insurance claim and asked that we hold off on scheduling repairs until she works with them. After removing the evaporator cover, I found that it had just gone through a defrost cycle so there was no frost on the evaporator. After 20 minutes there was only frost on about 60 percent. Customer complaint was the dishwasher is leaking out of the front. Customer said they ran it twice and it leaks right away at the front. Then the customer ran it two more times afterwards and now it does not leak at all. I started the dishwasher and let it run for about 1015 minutes and it was not leaking. I then open the door and found the bottom had quite a bit of suds. The customer said she filled the rinse aid dispenser and some may have spilled out. She thinks she filled it around the same day. It started to leak. I went over cleaning instructions and I cleaned the filter in the dishwasher. I advise the customer to use a less soapy of a soap and to clean the dishwasher monthly.

"Customer complaint is the dishwasher control panel is intermittent. Sometimes when they press power that display does not light up at all. Sometimes it will kind of flash on and then off. They had a incident a couple days ago. It ran for about six hours, and then the number two was the only thing on the display. Today the dishwasher is responding and working as it should. I press power on and then off several times and it works for me every time. Im able to start a cycle and it will run as it should. I removed the door to inspect the main control and found the neutral wire going into the main power relay is starting to arch and short, and I can see some issue with the power relay. I gave the customer the bluebook quote to replace the main power board, at this time they declined the repair. I created an estimate with part number."
