What we fix most on Beko dishwashers

  1. Leak or door gasket
  2. Drain pump
  3. Filter or clog
  4. Circulation pump or motor
  5. Heater

Counted from our technicians' notes on 22 Beko dishwasher service calls.

Water sitting in the bottom after a cycle

Beko names clogged filters and a blocked drain hose as the main reasons. Many models use a three-part filter (a coarse filter, a micro filter and a flat metal or plastic screen) that you clean by hand. Once it's packed with food, water drains slowly or not at all. With the filter and hose clear, the drain pump is next in line.

Leaks and the overflow warning

Beko dishwashers have overflow protection. When water rises too high or a part leaks into the base, the machine pumps out and flashes an overflow warning. Worn door gaskets, loose hoses and suds from hand dish soap are common causes.

Dishes coming out dirty or wet

Clogged filters, spray arms that don't spin, low rinse aid and overloaded racks cover the everyday cases. Dishes that come out cold and wet after every cycle suggest the water heater or the circulation pump may be failing.

E:01 and E:02 on the program light

Many Beko models flash these on the program indicator. Codes vary by model, so check your manual.

CodeWhat it usually means
E:01Overflow warning. Too much water came in or a part is leaking. The dishwasher tries to pump it out, and if the code stays, it needs service.
E:02The water supply was cut off or the inlet tap is closed. The program pauses and picks back up when water returns.

Weekly and as-needed upkeep

  • Take out the filters and rinse them under the tap with a soft brush, which Beko recommends doing at least weekly.
  • Spin the spray arms by hand and clear any plugged holes.
  • Clean the small filter where the water inlet hose connects.
  • Top off the rinse aid, and if glasses look misty or spotted, check the water hardness setting and salt level.
  • Make sure the dishwasher is level and fastened to the cabinets with its brackets.
  • Use dishwasher detergent only, because hand dish soap foams up and can set off leak warnings.

You'll find the model tag on the right side of the door frame with the door open.

About that built-in softener

Many Beko dishwashers have a built-in softener, which is uncommon in US machines. Test your water with the included strip and set the hardness level to match. Above about 22 grains per gallon, fill the salt container with dishwasher salt, never table salt. With the hard water in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Southwest Florida, that step is worth doing.

Beko DishwasherJan 2, 2026Minneapolis, MNTechnician: Bunbob

Model DDT38530X

Cleared clogged air gap siphon and flushed drain. Advised customer on maintenance.

“Bunbob was on point! We really truly appreciate the service that both he and Omega provided to us. He had come last week and thought we had a simple error. That ended up being far more extensive and he came back today and covered it all based on the time that he had previously charged to us. I felt like I was in a 1950s sitcom getting such amazing service. But it was no joke. It was the real deal and so was he. Thank you very much and should we ever have problems again you will unquestionably be our first call as well as our first recommendation to anyone!”

Model DUT36520W

Installed new left hinge, right hinge and inner door; confirmed proper sealing and ran test cycle, unit filling, washing and draining properly.

“Bunbob did a good job, as far as I can see, within the constraints of company policy. Separate visit for diagnosis meant waiting for actual repair. I would have been happier if he had had the parts and done the repair in one trip, since I had told Omega the problem was with the door of the dishwasher. Oh, well, when he returned with the parts, he did what, so far, seems to be a fine job. Also he was courteous and explained his diagnosis patiently.”

Giving E01 error. Found a lot of water in flood basin. Dried it up and ran dishwasher, and found water leaking from the inlet. Inlet cover was almost off. Pulled out dishwasher and used special rubber based adhesive for extra protection, reinstalled it. Now it runs great with no leaks. Charged minimum labor since customer already paid another company before us but it didnt get fixed.

“Nate was super friendly, professional, detailed in his explanation of my dishwasher problem and efficient. I highly recommend Omega Force!”

Model DUT25401X

Found that the dishwasher was getting leak error and drain pump was continually running. Found that the water guide on left side had came loose and was leaking from lock nut area and dripping into drip pan.Customer approved estimate. I added caulking and secured locknut. Tested and no more leaks. Dishwasher is working good.

Beko DishwasherJul 12, 2024Brooklyn Center, MNTechnician: Nate

Model DUT36522X

Replaced bad door switch assembly. Runs great now.

“I left town for a 2-week road trip shortly after Nate fixed the machine. I've only used it once since the repair, so this "review" won't contain a lot of useful information. Ask me again in two weeks. Only complaint was the time span involved. It took too long to get parts and then schedule the service. The machine was out of service for more than 2 weeks each time the door switch went bad.”

Model DUT25401X

Water/conde station runs down sides of the dishwasher at the end of the cycle. Called tech support. Discovered that the sound dampening strips had been installed on the front, and not the sides like theyre supposed to. This stopped the door from closing all the way. Per Beko, I cut slits in the sides of the strips to allow screws to go through to the cabinet. Attached the strips on the sides and remounted. Now no water leaks down the sides and steam doesnt escape out.

“Nate was considerate, thoughtful and professional, calling Beko service for assistance. In learning something about the installation of the dishwasher, he returned some strips of rubber/plastic to the correct position. I have operated the dishwasher and the evidence of leakage is completely eliminated. Thank you!”

Model DDS25842X

The customer said she started the dishwasher at night and in the morning it was flashing the over flow error and the drain pump was on. I pulled the dishwasher out and removed both side panels. I found water in the bottom drip pan. I sucked the water out and then started the dishwasher. I let it run for 20 minutes. I let wash and drain. The dishwasher is not leaking at this time. I found the drain hose behind was kinked. I straighten the hose and pulled the rest of the slack through. The dishwasher drains really good.

“I really liked the frequent communication about timing of the appointment. Service tech was knowledgeable and helpful.”

Model DUT36522X

The customer complaint is the dishwasher is totally dead. I verified the dishwasher is dead and will not start. I checked the outlet for the dishwasher and it has no voltage at all. I plugged the dishwasher into the garbage disposal outlet then turned the outlet on with the switch and now the dishwasher is working. The customer said they tried the disposal outlet but did not flip the wall switch just. The outlet is bad and needs to be changed. I advised the customer to have the outlet replaced.

Model DUT36520X

Not running, drain pump just humming. Found some plastic debris in the drain pump. Cleaned out drain pump. Also, waterline to dishwasher was leaking, tightened that and didnt see any more drips. Found water in flood pan, possibly from drain pump overheating and leaking since all it was doing was trying to run but couldnt. Runs and drains great now.

Beko DishwasherAug 3, 2023Eagan, MNTechnician: Nate

Model DDT38530X

E1 error. Drain pump runs after dishwasher runs for 4 minutes. They had a plumber doing work and after water was turned back on, dishwasher does this. Pulled out dishwasher and dried up all the water in the basin. Then reinstalled dishwasher and ran it. Mounted it on both sides, as prior it was only mounted on right side. Water leaking from where the disc inside the dishwasher attaches to the water inlet. Tightened the disc, so that it doesnt run down the inside of the basin now/ no leaks/ runs great.

“Nate did a great job on fixing our dishwasher. He was prompt, polite, professional. Highly recommend!”

Model DDT39432XIH

Dishwasher not draining and they are finding food debris stuck to dishes. I cleaned out the filter, and the sump. Also noticed that there's an air gap. I took the cover out of the air gap. And let water drain straight up through air gap. Water was partially turned off to the dishwasher. Turned the water on. Now it fills and drains and circulates great.

“The company called me almost immediately after I reported the problem to the manufacturer. I had to wait 6 days for the repairs to be made, but it wasn't an emergency. On day of appointment, Nate showed up right on time. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. I'd use them again without question. I will request Nate!”

Beko DishwasherApr 7, 2023Lakeville, MNTechnician: Delton

Model DUT36522X

Found that water guide on left side was loose and the nut on the inside of dishwasher was loose so when it would fill the dishwasher would leak down side into drip pan and give leak error. Not sure how it came loose but tightened inside nut and added sealant. Tested and no leaks. Dishwasher is working good, no leaks.

“Service was scheduled promptly and the received updates via text on arrival time of the technician. The repair process went smoothly and everything was explained clearly to us.”

Model DUT25401W

After running for 30 minutes i found that the hose clamp was not attached to the water inlet (see picture) to the sump so it was leaking slightly from there. I added new clamp and hose is now secure and no more leaks. Dishwasher is working good.

“Great job! Customer service was amazing - was easily available by phone and on time. This was warranty work on less than 1 year old dishwasher.”

Beko DishwasherMar 27, 2023Robbinsdale, MNTechnician: Phillip

Model DUT36520X

The customer said it was giving the E01 code and some water was inside the dishwasher. The code is for a leak in the bottom pan. I got all the water out and then ran the dishwasher. The customer also said that one time it was not drain gas good and it had leaked once before. Another servicer was out and said it was from the door not shutting. I ran it and it never leaked. When it drained it sounded like it was draining for the first time. It drains good now. The door was rubbing on the trim pieces. I adjusted how it was installed and made sure the door shuts better. I advised the customer of what I did.

Beko dishwasher repair FAQ

What goes wrong most often on Beko dishwashers?

In our technicians' notes on 22 Beko dishwasher service calls, the repairs that come up most involve the leak or door gasket, drain pump and filter or clog. The list near the top of this page shows the rest.

How many Beko dishwashers have you repaired?

22 Beko dishwasher repairs are in our service records so far, and customers rated those visits 4.9 out of 5 stars.

What does E:01 mean on my Beko dishwasher?

It's the overflow warning. The machine took in too much water or picked up a leak, and it'll try to pump the water out. When the warning clears, the safety routine did its job. When it stays on, Beko treats it as a permanent fault, so shut off the water and power and have a technician track down the leak or the faulty fill control.

Why won't my Beko dishwasher drain all the way?

Beko points to two main causes, clogged filters and a clogged or blocked drain hose. Twist out the filter assembly, separate the coarse, micro and flat filters, and rinse them under the tap. Then make sure the drain hose isn't kinked behind the cabinet. Water still sitting in the tub after a short cycle suggests the drain pump may be failing.

Does my Beko dishwasher need salt?

Only on hard water. Beko models with a built-in softener use special dishwasher salt to regenerate it, so test your water with the supplied strip first. Below about 22 grains per gallon you generally don't need salt, and Beko warns that adding it with soft water can etch glassware. Stick to granulated dishwasher salt, never table or rock salt.

Why are dishes still wet at the end of a Beko dishwasher cycle?

Beko's manual names low rinse aid, crowded loading that traps water, unloading too early and short programs. Top off the rinse aid and turn its setting up, choose a longer program or a drying option, and let the steam clear before you open the door. Unload the bottom rack first. Dishes that are also cold at the end may mean the heater needs service.

How much does Beko dishwasher repair cost?

The trip and diagnostic fee starts at $129. Your technician quotes the repair upfront using the Appliance Blue Book, before any work begins, so you can decide with no surprises.

Are you a factory-authorized Beko service provider?

Yes. Omega Force Appliance Repair is a factory-authorized Beko service provider.

Is the repair guaranteed?

Repairs you pay us for directly come with a 10-year warranty on parts and a 60-day labor warranty. When a manufacturer, home warranty company or other third party pays for the repair, that company's warranty applies instead.

Omega Force Appliance Repair is a factory-authorized Beko service provider.
