Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

The complaint was the dishwasher does not completely drain and the door falls down fast. The customer said when she pulled the filter out their is still water in the sump. I advised the customer the little bit of water in the sump where the filter is, is normal. I found the door link cables were broken. I replaced both door link cables and leveled the dishwasher. The dishwasher is working good as it should.

Unit making loud noise when running. Disassembled unit and found the gear case is causing the issue. Quoted customer blue book and he is going to get a new unit. They would like a front loader any way

The customer complaint was the fresh food section is not cooling. I removed the damper cover and its open but no air comes out. The evaporator is not frosted over. The evaporator fan was not working. I tested and found the fan was bad. I quoted for the fan and defrosting the evaporator. I replaced the fan and defrosted a big ball of ice. The fan works and now getting air into the fresh food.

Customers complaint unit not draining. On arrival there was water on the bottom of dishwasher. Put unit in a drain and it drained well. Cleaned out the filter and checked everything over it all worked and sounded good. They do have a drain cap which causes drain issues. Customer will bypass the cap and go right to the food disposal if it happens again. I let him know if he does that he needs to make a high loop so water doesnt back fill

I cleaned and flushed out the drain pump it was full of pillow stuffing. It is now draining as designed.

The customer compliant the display would blink and not run/ now the unit is dead. I quoted for the main board. I replaced the main board and programmed it to 1617. Its now working good.

No power to dishwasher. Found that wire nut burnt and power wire disconnected. Spliced in new connection and secured with new wire nut. Tested and dishwasher powers on and all functions are working good.

The universal burner knobs are not quite that universal as they do not push in stem of burner. I added zip tip to make it work but not sure if it will last. Customer is aware and will use it and if it doesnt work try a different brand and see if itll work.

Customer complaint is, no heat in microwave and cooling fan may be noisy. Inspected and tested. Found the relay board is buzzing and has failed. Installed relay board and tested. Microwave is still not heating. I called GE tech line and we couldnt figure it out exactly, but he thought its either the power board or the main board. Installed new power board and main board. Tested microwave and its working great. Microwave is now fixed.
