"Customer complains that the fridge is making the same noise and exhibiting the same behaviors as it previously did before the compressor failed. Upon arrival and inspection I heard the fridge making the noise in question. I put the unit in test mode and isolated the fans from the compressor and the different systems and was able to hear the noise continue. I called the GE tech line and spoke with Gerry he started Case # 07737561. Jerry had me specifically do a few tests and put the phone near the back of the unit. He could not hear the noise over the phone and stated that he cannot recommend compressor replacement.
