The dishwasher latch was not connecting with the door strike. The handle seemed very loose and it was not releasing its spring. I removed the handle assembly and installed the replacement part. Once installed, I tried to close the door and it does close. I did adjust the door strike too so that the latch assembly would marry even better. I had the customer operate the door and give it their thumbs up. The new door latch assembly did the trick.

Midea tech support when I spoke with them last time said that the only other thing it could possibly be is the UI board. I came back and replaced that today and it didnt fix the issue. On timed dry it stops heating after 4 or 5 minutes. On sending dry it continually cycles heat for the duration of the cycle. I then went outside after 20 minutes and checked vent, and screen is packed with lint. I removed lint, and within a minute the heat came back. And stayed on then. Explained to customer they have an issue with that screen getting clogged. Dryer runs great now.

WATER ENTERING UNIT MIGHT BE ISSUE - FILLS AND EMPTIES WEIRD. This is a wash tower. Both model and serial number tags have been removed. Theres a tag on the side that has a model number on it. Customer said theres been standing water in washer a couple times and once didnt wash. I removed the drain filter and its mostly clear, but theres a piece of string/hair thats got junk wrapped around it going into the pump impeller. I removed junk and tested washer and its filling, washing, draining and spinning multiple times perfectly. Washer is testing good. I think the string/hair was causing it to not drain sometimes.

Getting black flakes inside washer on clothes, and the lid lock catches sometimes. Called tech support. They said theyve never encountered the lid lock having issues, and they said unless customer has been running the clean cycle consistently since they bought it, they will get black flakes. I did tell them how to run afresh through the washer properly. And checked under the agitator plate, and cleaned some scum off of that. Lots of scrum. Attached photos. Just charging labor for doing a 45 minute deep cleaning, taking it all apart and scrubbing with a Brillo pad.

SHUTS OFF AFTER PREHEAT. Customer said the display will just go dead and will eventually turn back on by itself. There is a service bulletin from GE for this issue and it says to install a piece of insulation under the board to prevent the moisture from getting to the board. Installed insulation and tested. Oven preheated to 400F without any issues and cycled for a little while without shutting down. Range is now fixed.

Complaint is of unit not cooling to right temp. Found using oven temp probe unit was within 10 degrees of set temp after a short time. Igniter was consistently drawing 3.1 amps (within specification) and temp sensor was reading right through smart HQ diagnostics. The motion of the drum tumbling was producing a knocking noise. I removed the top and the door assembly of the dryer, I didnt find any objects making contact with any moving parts on unit appliance cabinet. The idler pulley arm wasnt moving smoothly, the drum belt was worn out and the drum wheels had a flat spot in them. I replaced all four parts and reassembled the dryer, plugged it in and started a cycle. The drum tumbles smoothly and quietly again , the air flow is strong and the flame is the ideal size for the appliance.

Replaced broken pressure sensor hose today. Runs great now. Watched for leaks after cleaning off door and bottom of bellow. No leaks now. When I got here today customer said it was leaking underneath some of the times they ran it after I left: I checked and found water was running down the front of the washer and then dripping under it, due to a lot of hair on bottom of the door glass and gasket. Thats all cleaned up now and not leaking anymore. No error and doesnt overfill now either after replacing hose.

As Im here the customer left the load that did not drain and washer was full of water. I ran speed wash and it drained and completed load. I ran another load and noticed that water in wash tub wasnt draining down and water would fill above the drain hose and washer would suck water back in the washer. I showed customer and makes sense to why the washer was working the previous two times Ive been here.I informed customer to add lint trap to drain and that if slow drain continues that a plumber is needed to ensure that water does not over fill the drain hose from the washer.Washer itself completed cycle and is working good as im here, again.
