FLASHING A UPSIDE DOWN FL ERROR. I cant find this error in the tech sheet, so I called techline and talked to Steve and its not an error. When you power cycle washer it says tL and then the software version, so it means top load. I was able to reset and started a spin cycle and after about 3 minutes it gave the tL and shut off. Steve had me check voltage and it was good, so he advised on unplugging connectors and reseating and if thats doesnt fix it to replace the top control board. Quoted customer to install new control board. Customer is going to try using and will let us know if he wants us to order the board.

On arrival, customer informed me that the machine does not go through the spin cycle all the time. Check the balance ring and engine rods in the belt and everything else that we could be contributing to the machine not balancing and did not find any damage. Instructed the customer to use smaller loads with more water to get it to balance easier. Instructed them that when using large items like a blanket, or a comforter that they need to use the bulky items setting, and sometimes will need toput the machine through a spin again to get it completely spun out and dried. I found an error code displayed on the power control board that referred to open windings on the compressor. Sure enough the multimeter showed me that two pairs of the windings had open line measurements to them. I recovered the refrigerant inside the sealed system, cut out the defective compressor and old filter dryer. I flushed the remaining lines with nitrogen. I cleaned and braised in the new compressor dryer and low side service valve. Once components were in place I pulled a deep vacuum to achieve pressure, and charged the system with 57 g of R600 refrigerant. once power was restored to the refrigerator high and low side pressures equalized and refrigerant started flowing. I took pictures to document the pressures. The refrigerator started cooling and pressures looked great. I told the customer to wait 24 hours before loading back into their appliance.

The fresh food temperature sensors were sending incorrect measurements to the power control board, temperature in the fresh food cabinet was not cooling below 40 degrees when set to 34. I replaced the thermistors behind the fresh food air tower and at the center ceiling towards the doors. I plugged the appliance back in and verified air flow from the tower and the cold air returns to the freezer. The customers arent finding lint on their screen, age multiple cycles. The burner is producing heat, verified exhaust and drum temperatures. The drum tumbles smoothly and quickly. The air flow leaving the dryer is strong and the exhaust from the house is open and free from blockage. The airflow to the lint screen housing is strong as well.My first time into this dryer, I cleaned a substantial amount of lint from the blower motor wheel and the inner dryer cabinet. There are pictures from previous service orders referring to this point. I will send a new lint screen to the customer because the current screen isnt grabbing lint and allowing it to past and into the appliance.
