"Customer said making loud buzzing noise. Found that the evaporator is frosted over but when i go into newfi and test the heater it comes on and starting to defrost. When i check history of defrost cycle it shows that there is 4-5 day gap before the heater will turn on for 25 minutes. Then will be off for 2 days then on again for 25 minutes. So there is not a constant cycle that Im seeing which then caused the evaporator to ice over and evaporator fan blade hitting ice build up being noisy.Since all functions appear to be working when in newfi test mode Im guessing the control board is bad, not automatically going into defrost mode? There two washers and i compared fill levels on same settings on both washer and was equal. I showed that to customer that washer is working good.

"Was banging loud during a spin cycle. Took off back panel, top panel, checked tub, nothing loose. Called GE tech support. They said to find whats making noise and replace the part. I did find that the back panel was loose. Top screw stripped out. Replaced with a bigger screw. Also put a little felt padding between back metal panel edges so its not metal on metal. Put 5 towels in there and ran on a regular cycle and then a spin cycle. 07687745 case number for GE. Also found that the back left corner of the lid isnt totally tight, but no way to tighten it. If water lines are underneath the lid touching it, in spin cycle then the vibration of the lines causes the lid to rattle. Showed customer they will want to put a little piece of white duct tape on back left side to make sure lid is nice and secure to casing. Also showed how depending on where the hoses are they can vibrate against the case."

The dishwasher was not installed correctly. I did the best I could with what I had. I had to remove the mounting bracket and cut the ends off and them put them back on the right way. The dishwasher would still slip back when the lower rack pulled out. I did not have long enough screws to secure the bottom so I used plumbing strap to secure the feet. If it looses up again they will need to have the original installed come fix the issue. Theres no issue with the dishwasher.

"Customer complains of blows breaker whenever she plugged it in. Upon arrival and inspection I found the dryer had a failed centrifugal switch and the heater will head stuck on causing the wiring to melt on the element and thermal fuse. I replace the motor, dryer rebuild kit, thermal cut off kit, and heater. I ran unit with the vent disconnected and it cycled between 218? and 105?. Whats event connected its spiked to 255? before I shut it off. The dryer vent needs to be replaced and unit is unsafe to be used with the dryer vent in this condition. I dont I notified the landlord. The customers compliment was the washer would shake aggressively in the spin cycle. When I arrived to the house the customer was washing one bed sheet. I put into a spin cycle. As it started to ramp up to speed the basket banged against the sides but eventually stopped and the picked up speed. It got to 648 rpms. The washer shook but it never walked. The washer is balanced. I checked for error codes and if it needed a software update. There was one unrelated error code from 10 days ago and no updates needed. None of the bulletin updates applied to the issue. The washer is working as it should and the vibration is normal. I explained the operation of the machine and advised the customer to use the precise fill option for better performance. The customer is not happy with the machine and will contact GE.

The customer said that sometimes the ice will jamb while its being dispensed from the door. Today the ice bucket was half full but some ice was clumped and stuck together but it would still dispense cubes. I verified the flap closes tight and warm air is not leaking into the ice bin. I took the ice maker out and cleaned the ice maker. I cleaned the crust out of the ice maker fill tube. I ran a test cycle and it filled good. I open the left door and held a magnet over the top switch and the ice maker fan came on and blew air out the vent. The freezer temp is at 0 and ice cream is hard. No error codes. If happens again could be a ice maker issue. I did not use any parts sent.

I replaced parts but looked into why soap was getting hard and clogging up dispenser. I found that only on normal and heavy cycles does the washer start with filling main wash detergent section and every other setting it will start by filling bleach so it gets splash over causing soap to get wet then hard and by yet time the machine calls to fill the main detergent soap has gotten hard and wont rinse down.I explained that to customer about how it fills different areas of the soap dispenser based on the cycle chosen. But in the user manual for washer it does not state that and customer says it shouldnt matter and should rinse out soap no matter what cycle because the user manual doesnt say not to use powder soap on specific cycles.I explained that there was nothing more i can do to fix it as that is how washer was designed to work.

Not heating on Acudry options. Upon arrival line inspection I tested the vent at the outside of the house and had great pressure 21mph have. I tested machine on time dry and it heated fine. I switched over to the Accudry sensor drying and watched six cycles and it ran flawlessly cycling between 119?F and 233?F and advancing as expected. I cleaned the moisture sensor bars as they use dryer sheets and educated the customer on how the dryer works and what it uses to determine runtime and heat to sensor dry. Customer noted that they mix loads and often times the clothes are wet at the end of the cycle unless timed is used. The dryer is working as designed and needs no parts.
