"Washer has been run 10 times since they bought it last week, and 8 of those times it has banged around. I took off the top of the tub and made sure the balance ring alignment markers and they are perfectly matched up. No transportation hardware. Spoke with GE tech support. They explained that on this particular model, the only way to mitigate the banging is to put on 1)Deep rinse and also 2) Deep Fill, so that it can move clothes around before going into spin. It fills all the way to the top then during the soak and wash portion too. Uses a ton of water. Nothing else customer can do than that. No error codes when in test mode. Customer plans to pause during spin if she has to to redistribute clothes."

"Customers complaint is freezer does not get down to temperature selected on the door. The customer has the freezer set to -6?. At -6? ice cream was melting, bread was not frozen and meat was soft. They had a thermometer inside in the coldest it would get to was 12?. They said it was actually up to round 22? but when they took the food out it got colder. I put a thermocouple inside on the back panel and waited 30 minutes. The temperature only got to 9?. I removed the evaporator cover and found that the evaporator has a partial frost pattern. I put the freezer into a diagnostic mode so the compressor ran on high speed. After half an hour I still do not get a full frost pattern.

"The airflow is 20mph behind the electric LG dryer and 17 mph outside. Temps are 190-200 while running. Customer complaint is that it takes a few cycles to dry their clothes. I took dryer apart, it was packed with lint in bulkhead. I vacuumed dryer out, cleaned and oiled roller shafts. Runs at 23 mph now behind dryer. Heating great. If it still doesnt dry clothes, told customer to put their wet clothes in dryer and run it with vent disconnected. To double check and see if that makes a difference."

"The whole unit was not cooling but fans were running. The compressor would kick in a about a second then shut off. I got 120 the the inverter. I replaced the inverter. After a few minutes the compressor and fans all came on and now it cools. Customer said the ice maker is not working and at one time the water stayed on and they had water all over the floor. The customer thought the oven was heating to low. She bought a thermometer and put in the oven. She said after it beeped that it was preheated the temp was 50 degrees low. I took temps at 350 and after recoding the highs and lows I got average temp of 352.348-343-354-360-350-361=352I bumped the temp up to 425 and let it cycle. After several cycles I got a average of 428. Today the oven is working perfectly. I explained to the customer that the store bought thermometers take 20-30 min to show the set temperature. I also instructed where to position the racks and the difference types of cookware and how that can affect the bake time.

"Customer complaint is, STRONG GAS SMELL ONLY WHEN IN USE- COOK TOP IGNITIES ALL BURNERS AT SAME TIME. Inspected and tested. Its normal for all burners to spark at the same time. Cooktop and Oven are working perfectly. Customer just moved in and Im sure the previous owners did some painting. Its probably just burning the paint fumes. Range is operating normal."
