Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

Installed new limit thermostat from diagnosis. Once installed reassembled. Tested unit multiple times heating and tumbling correctly. Unit is heating properly also. Did recommend last time getting the vents cleaned. Cleaned inside the dryer and did a maintenance cleanup. Unit is now operating correctly.

Customers complaint unit leaking. Pulled unit out on protective mat. Removed back cover to test for leaks. After filling and draining we found water leaking from drain in the wall. Will need a plumber. Inspected the unit otherwise. Its working properly. The bearings are getting loud.
“Adam was absolutely terrific! He and the trainee that was with him, quickly figured out that the water leak was NOT from my washing machine, but was coming from the drain behind the machine. They were able to drain the machine (into a bucket) and put it through the spin cycle so I could remove the wet clothes in there. Would definitely call your service again if I have any repair for my Asko washer or dryer. Very responsive, very competent!”

E8 error to which is displayed on the display ever since this customer returned from vacation in Detroit. Also, since then, the icemaker has not worked. Also, bottom drawer is sort of hard to open. Found stretched out door cables. Removed those. Also, replaced the PCB and the icemaker. Took the icemaker through service mode and made sure its on. Works great now.

Icemaker broke. Arm broke right off. Replaced bad Icemaker. Cycled it and made sure its on. Works great now.

Customer said it makes a loud buzzing/vibration sound 2-3 times though out cycle. I tested for over 30 minutes and didnt hear much of anything abnormal. Ran diagnostics and tested ever component and no abnormal nosies. I did find that both upper and lower spray arms were clogged with food/popcorn kernels and were not rotating. I suspect that clogged spray arms could cause them to vibrate making the noises since it wasnt spinning.Now that spray arms are clean customer will use as normal and call back if problem persists.DIshwasher is working good.

Found that the igniter is weak and not turning on gas to heat oven. Also the mechanism that holds in and springs open the warming drawer, plastic is not locking and there is a service bullitin that it is subbed to a new part. Customer wants the oven igniter replaced but will hold off on the warming drawer lock mechanism.Replaced igniter, tested and oven preheated and is working good.

Issues was no power from the power outlet . We reset main breaker this resolve problem machine runs good and verify heating cycle is back to operation works great.

Customer complaint is, display showing badline. Customer had already scratched the floor by pulling the range out. Inspected and tested. I pulled range out and found the outlet only has 120V, not 240V. The problem is with the outlet. I advised customer to call a electrician.

Customers complaint door slams down. Also light bulb out. To do both jobs micro has to pulled out a little. The oven stays in the wall. Disassembled replaced rods and bulb which is done from the top of microwave. No way for a customer to replace. Once installed tested. Everything works. The black rod for the tensioner was broke. Customer does think it should have more resistance. Explained and showed where the old one broke and there is only one way to install and no way to tighten the tension more.
“I have clicked 5 stars because I felt his work was fine and what happened after he left was probably a failure in the technical area. The light in our microwave worked fine for about maybe 20 minutes but before I had completed cooking a small dish when I put it back in, the light just no longer came on inside. I had been quite careful and the door sprin mechanism he had installed has continued to function perfectly. There were no jolts opening or closing the door and I was using my normal Pyrex dish to cook in. I just wonder if the installed light itself may have need faulty somehow. But I am by no means knowledgeable about this. All I can say is I had thought that Adam seemed to have performed very professionally while working on our unit. I hope this helps.”
