I looked at evaporator and found that there is a sealed system leak as there is only %15 frost pattern. Also the refrigerator door does not close smoothly and that door hinge is bent and bottom of door hits bottom of refrigerator floor causing friction and have to push door shut. I informed customer of sealed system leak and due to costs of repair customer will replace refrigerator.

The fridge was off and unplugged when I arrived. I tapped into the low side and the pressure was around 45 psi. The customer said the whole unit died a couple days. No heat was coming off the high side after a few minutes. The compressor is failing. I quoted for the compressor and labor. I replaced the compressor and filter. I pressure tested and flushed the system with nitrogen. I pulled down to a deep vacuum for about 15 minutes. The system got down to 115 microns. I recharged the system and watched the pressure. The low side was around 20 and dropping. The high side pressure was around 100 and slowly going up. I advised the customer to wait until tomorrow to put stuff back in and 24 hours to fill it back up.

No heat was coming off the discharge line and the compressor is on and running. I tapped into the low side and the pressure was 55 psi. That pressure indicates a failed compressor. "Its shutting off a few minutes after it stops. They recently disconnected the vent when they encountered this issue. I ran it for 5 minutes with vent disconnected and it didnt shut off. Got to 215. I then reconnected the vent and ran it, and within 30 seconds got up to 240. I shut it off because I didnt want to blow a fuse. Took bottom panel off and can see that theres a lot of charred lint and hair. They will clean it themselves and call a dryer vent cleaner to clean the vent."
