It appears as though the seal on the inside of the bearing has failed and is leaking grease into the wash tub. Going to need to replace wash basket and outer tub assembly.

Compressor was running on arrival, no cold air what so ever. I tapped the sealed system and found a full charge of refrigerant. I removed the refrigerant, cut out the defective compressor and filter drier and cleaned the remaining lines out with nitrogen. Installed a new compressor and filter drier, pulled a deep vacuum and changed the sealed system with 57 grams of R600 refrigerant. The high and low side pressures measured at ideal levels post charge and the freezer started to get cold immediately. The refrigerator will work its way down to set temperatures in 24 hours. I accessed the fresh food evaporator fan motor by removing the air tower. I removed the old fan motor. I secured the replacement motor in its place and secured the air tower back into the fresh food cabinet. The fresh foods thermistor is sandwiched between styrofoam and plastic without being exposed to the air inside the fresh food cabinet. The new fan is circulating cold air, the evaporator coil has a strong and consistent frost pattern, the fresh food cabinet will reach desired temperature in 3-4 hours, roughly.

I removed the cover for the compressor room to inspect the high and low side pressures. I found that the suction line has a layer of ice built up on it (pictured). I connected my gauges to the high and low sides of the sealed system and found that refrigerant flow was not restricted or a leak wasnt present. Static pressure equalized between high any low sides very quickly after appliance was unplugged, so I know theres not any restriction inside the cooling system. I inspected the evaporator too and verified that a defrost problem wasnt to blame and sure enough, it looked fine (pictured). I recovered the refrigerant and pulled a deep vacuum. I charged the sealed system again with 57 grams of R600 refrigerant and verified flow once the charge had been completed. Thankfully, all temperature hasnt been lost, if at all so reaching set temperatures will not take very long after this charging process. No parts used. I only used 57 grams of refrigerant.

Unit needed to be re-leveled after re-leveling it I used wood screws to hold the basin cause it wasnt bracketed in or supported found that the cover shield in between the door was hitting when you opened it so I repositioned that also used electrical tape to secure wires from frame of inner panel of door because it was eating through the rubber Tested to verify there was no leaks anywhere units. I inspected the evaporator. The evaporator has a strong frost pattern throughout top to bottom front to back. Looks like complete refrigerant flow. I ran the compressor to verify that it was operating correctly. I inspected my joints that I repaired on Monday to verify that they are in good working order. There is no malfunction that I can find with this refrigerator. The sensors that are being used to measure temperature and one spot of the refrigerator are likely misleading and creating unsettled feelings, but the thermostat inside the refrigerator appeared to be reading the correct temperature and the cooling system is 100% online and providing plenty of cold air for the fresh food and freezer compartment.
