Dryer turns on and tumbling as I got here and customer said that it didnt even start. I tested heat and dryer is not venting out properly. Dryer vent is clogged and outside vent is is covered by overgrowth. I showed customer informed that the dryer probably overheated and shut off and now that its cooled off it runs. Customer was planning on replacing flex vent with rigid and will do that.With vent disconnected, dryer is running and heating as Im here.She will use as normal and call back if problems persists after vent is replaced.

I cleaned and oiled the rear rollers and replaced the front rollers and idler. I vacuumed out the dryer. The dryer sounds good now. The air flow seems bad. The customer said it vented out under the porch. I recommend that it be cleaned.

"The washer drains but does not spin. I put into the test mode and the fault for the shifter came up. I found some corrosion on the connector going to the shifter. I cleaned the shifter and the connector then put grease on the connector. The washer still would not wash or spin and the shifter fault came back. I quoted the customer for replacing the shifter. I replaced the shifter and calibrated the washer. Now the washer will wash and spin in all cycles.

"Customer complaint is, ICE IS FROZEN TOGETHER AND HE BROKE SOMETHING. Customer said ice was stuck in the chute and when he grabbed it and pulled something broke. Inspected and tested. Freezer is 6F and FF is 41F. Found the ice dispenser door is stuck open. I disassembled dispenser and found the ice chute was unclipped. I removed and reinstalled and now the door is opening and closing perfectly. Looks like the warm air from the door being open was causing the ice to melt together. Otherwise everything else tested good."

Found that the basement floor is slanted pretty good towards the floor drain so the front of the tub was hitting front of cabinet. When it was filling the bleach cap mid cycle it would overflow the edge of the washer top and drip over tub.I balanced out washer front as high as it can go but still not perfect. I informed customer that it might need some ply wood to make it fully balanced, but does not appear to be leaking anymore.

I removed the evaporator covers and after 20 minutes there is no frost on evaporators. The compressor/sealed system has failed. Also the freezer evaporator cover is broken. It looks like someone had this apart already because its been taped to try and fix the broken foam. "Took a bunch of pictures and i can hear relay click for speed of motor but using my non contact voltage checker i have no power, hard to get to the wires to fully check because its hard to get to without dropping the motor. Board is likely the problem. Vent sheathing goes into ceiling and i cant get picture of part number for the board. I informed customer that we would do our best to research part but we cant break the ceiling and customer would need to get it off so I can gain access to the control board.See what you can do to research board.I might be able to cut higher up the venting since the sleeve covers further up the duct and would cover it and then i could gain access to the board.; saved tckt"

Theres moisture on the FF mullion and black mold on the bottom half of the gasket because the door gasket flapper is ripped off and not sealing. FF mullion is getting 2vdc and ohms out at 23.5. "Customer complaint is, 1/4 OF WATER STANDING IN THE BASE OF THE DW AFTER A CYCLE. CIRCUIT BREAKER IS TRIPPED AT THE SM TIME, ALSO THE SPRING IS BROKEN. Customer said that dishwasher is on same circuit as some lights in the basement. Inspected and tested. I started a heavy cycle and dishwasher drained, filled and washed. I advanced through the cycles manually and everything was working perfectly and heating element came on multiple times and was drawing over 8amps. Circuit breaker never tripped while testing. The left door spring is stretched out and fell off. I reattached it and further back and its now working. This is a plastic tub dishwasher thats over 20 years old and its in rough shape. Customer is probably just going to replace it in the future if he has more problems."

The freezer is getting cold.

Customer says dishwasher will complete cycle and about 24-48 hours later there will be water that has filled the bottom of dishwasher and then customer has to run drain cycle so it wont overflow. I found that the dishwasher water and drain hose runs underneath floor then up to sink drain. The drain was pointing down so when using sink it would push washer back into dishwasher. I turned drain up and cut rubber extension so that it runs as a high loop to prevent water from backfilling. Tested and dishwasher is working good and no longer backfilling water into dishwasher. Customer will use as normal and call back if issue continues.

The complaint was the whole unit stopped cooling very suddenly. Another service company was out and diagnosed the compressor had failed. Today I verified the compressor was bad. I used the compressor and filter drier that were sent to the customer by LG. I replaced both parts and updated the board. I leaked checked the system then pulled a vacuum. I recharged the fridge. I advised the customer to wait 6-8 hours for it to cool then 24 hours before he fill its back up.

Diagnosed sealed system issue for the cooling. Found the compressor is running hooked up my gauges got negative 5 and about 140. Looking like a leak. This compression was replaced one other time but the guy didnt put a new filter or anything. When it equalized around 45. So might be a small leak and bad compressor. Cut out old compressor. Installed new compressor and filter dryer. Pressured to 200psi. Never lost its pressure. No leaks to be found. Vacuumed unit under 300 microns. Held for 10 minutes after and never lost vacuumed pressure. Filled unit and reassembled. Tested unit and its working properly. Psi when I left 5 low and 96 psi on the high. Unit is all good now.

This is a Samsung built unit and has the famous Samsung issue of frosting up and not draining. Found the evap top is all frosted up and causing the evap fan to stop. Steamed out the frost then installed the defrost heater kit. Next the drain is clogged removed the drain hose in back fridge and found the duck bill clogged. Cleaned out clogged then cut back the duck bell so it wont get clogged. Reassembled then tested. Customer also complaint was the ice maker not making ice. Found the ice maker is just continuously trying to harvest. Restarted unit and now it stopped. Put in test mode and gets stuck. Removed the ice maker and inspected reistalled and started to work properly. Now it seams to be working properly. Started dryer on a timed dry high heat cycle and it was cycling between 220F and 120F for over 20 minutes. I cant check airflow on outside of house because it comes out underneath the deck and theres no access. Airflow on back of dryer is 32mph and with vent disconnected the heat is cycling between 200F and 115F. I tried the auto dry cycle and I can only get it to heat by holding the timer, when I let go its not heating. The timer has failed. Part on order. "The customer complaint is the fresh food is warm and the top of the freezer is warm. Again, I found the top half of the evaporator in the freezer section frosted up. The bottom half was good is only the top half that had too much frost on it. I defrosted the evaporator, and then I tested the defrost heater. The defrost here comes on a test mode. I replaced the main control, the defrost thermostat, and the evaporator sensor. The doors seal good and the fan is working good. No other issues found.

The customer complaint is the dishwasher does not start and the clean light flashes. I found the clean light is flashing 7 times which indicates a heating issue. I put into service mode then let run. I took an amp draw of the heater and I get 7.1 amps. I then canceled the service test and ran a normal. The dishwasher seems to be working and pumping water. After about 15 minutes the heater came on again. I inspected the board and connections. All looked ok. The drain pump is a little noisy and the wash pump sounds a little rough but it still washes. I suspect the wash pump may be stopping so its either a failing wash pump or main board. I advised to clean it with vinegar. Unit is operating good right now.

"Customer complaint is, NOT WORKING, FROST BUILD UP ON THE FREEZER AND WATER LEAKING ALL OVER THE FLOOR. Customer turned the water off to the refrigerator and it hasnt leaked sense. Inspected and tested. FF compartment is 35F and freezer is -1F. Theres some white frost buildup on the left freezer drawer rail. Both FF compartment doors and freezer drawer is sealing perfectly. The only way your going to get frost buildup on the rails is if the door is not closing all the way. I turned water on and couldnt find anything leaking. After running water through dispenser and cycling ice makers, found the freezer ice maker is leaking out the back when it fills. I disassembled freezer and removed ice maker and found the fill tube was frozen up. I defrosted and reassembled ice maker and cycled it and now it filled the ice maker and did not leak out the back. I advised customer to make sure the door is closing all the way or there going to continue getting frost buildup in the freezer."
