Customer complains of a squeaking noise and that the dryer is not drying taking multiple cycles. Upon arrival and inspection I found the machine was heavily contaminated with lint the dryer duct was blocked and I had 23 miles an hour of thrust at the back of the unit. This is a townhouse I was unable to verify the vent at the top of the roof. I cleaned it thoroughly there had been a dryer fire inside. I put unit back together and tested its now heating and cycling as it should. Note and let the tenant know not to use unit as it could cause dryer fire in the home.. please send the tenant the following part to help ensure proper ceiling and less lint contamination in the duct WE18X54.; ordrng 1 WE18X54

Customers complaint is the garbage disposal does not work. Upon arrival and inspection I found the unit would not turn and it would blow the overload. I removed the bottom panel but could not find a manual auger release or crankshaft. I reinstalled it removed power and removed obstacles from the sink bucket side. I removed three pieces up and then ran disposal. The disposal ran perfect. I ran a whole load of ice through it and a fair amount of water the disposer is now fixed

"customer complains that the clothes are not spinning out consistently theyre still too wet to go to the dryer. Upon arrival and inspection I found many stored errors. There was a stuck button error, over suds error, multiple unbalanced load errors, and a long drain error. Customer had a load in so we tested watching it through a drain and spin and it finished well and as designed. I watched it empty and Balance rang and tub looked perfect. I ran through a UI console test and all the buttons worked and function as designed. I advise the customer to watch her load size and even out the load and drain and spin when it wont complete of its own accord."

I aligned wire basket and cleaned out big ice chunks. Door now closes and is sealing. I suggested to customer to get rid of all the frost is to let let fridge defrost for 24 hours with doors open then itll be back to normal.

I filled and drained the dishwasher 5 times and it drained every time. I ran a test cycle and there was no error codes. I ran it through test modes and everything is working. The vent cover is missing. The customer said it fell off and got melted. I gave the customer the part number so she can order it and replace it.

"Customer complaint is, DISPLAY BOARD SHUTS OFF MID CYCLE, RESET AND WILL USUALLY QUIT AGAIN. Inspected and tested. I ran the washer for over 25 minutes and it was working great. The main board is the most commonly replaced board on this washer. Quoted customer to install new board. Customer approved repairs. Im going to order the display board just in case. I ran the washer through a complete quick wash cycle and it never failed. Started it on a normal cycle and watched it for almost 25 minutes and it never failed. Customer approved installing main board even though Im not a 100 percent sure thats the problem because it never failed for me. Installed main board and tested. Washer is working great for me."

Evaporator drain tube was clogged and iced over causing vents to be frozen over and not cooling. Needs heat probe and defrosted. Customer approved estimate. I defrosted and added heat probe to get cooling as i order evaporator fan motor. "Customer complaint is, FRIDGE NOT COOLING, FREEZER SEEMS FINE. Customer said the FF temperatures are fluctuating a lot and not staying consistently cold. Inspected and tested. Found the FF compartment was only 40F and the freezer was 5F. Ran refrigerator through service diagnostics and everything tested good. Disassembled both evaporators and there wasnt any frost on the FF evaporator and the freezer evaporator had very little. Watched evaporators for a while and neither of them frosted over more than about 25 percent. The sealed system has failed. Customer is going to call Whirlpool."
