Model RF18HFENBSR

Warming up and loud. Found the evaporator totally encased in ice. In forced defrost found it has a bad thermal fuse, sensor, and needs new drain kit. Also found a small crack in casing. Used sealant to seal crack. Steamed off evaporator and drain. Installed new drain kit. Installed new sensor and fuse. Confirmed heater comes on now.

Unit not cooling. Temp was more like fridge. There was a big ice dam on the bottom. Steamed out ice dam and watched frost pattern. The very bottom isnt frosting up. So either the system has a slow leak or just was caused by the ice dam. Let customer know what I found; they will keep an eye on it.

Customers complaint was the fresh food section was too warm. Upon arrival and inspection I found the jazz board would not shut off the compressor when it was an automatic defrost mode. So I repaired and replaced the board and also replaced the defrost by metal while I was defrosting, so that it would start cooling instantly. The refrigerator is now fixed.

The dishwasher was loose and slightly pulled out when I arrived. The customer said it was not draining and shutting off in the cycle. I ran a code check and the no drain fault was stored. I removed the drain pump and found something plastic stuck in the pump. I removed the object and ran the firmware update. Its working good and now drains.

Unit isnt heating. Removed the board. Tested all thermostats and switches. All were good. Replaced the diode then tested. Now its heating well. Unit had a bad diode.

The customer said for a couple days the fresh food section was very warm. Today its better. I hooked up the Newfi tool to check fault codes. The fresh food fan feed back error was active 1 day ago. When the fan runs it is little noisy. I removed the fan and spin the blade by hand. There is a rough spot in the motor. I quoted for the repair plus the update. I replaced the fan and updated the board.

Drum wont turn. Upon arrival and inspection I found three bad support rollers, and it was full of hair. I cleaned the unit and replaced all four support rollers. The dryer is not working as designed.
