Appliance Repair Falcon Heights Minnesota

Dakota was not communicative at all, and seemed to not want to be here. It started from the very beginning when I opened the door. I greeted him with a hi and he just said “dryer repair.”, not even a hello. I led him downstairs, and mentioned we had another servicer out in the summer. He asked for a copy of the receipt from the other servicer but never said why he needed it. I called my partner, who emailed me what she had in her email from the other servicer and showed it to Dakota, who just said “this is not a receipt. This is an estimate.” I told him this was all we could find, and it did list what the previous servicer did. He didn’t respond. He worked on the dryer and said the issue was lint build up in our blower, and removed it. He ran the dryer and it worked (no loud sound). I said “Nice!”, again no response from Dakota. It made me feel very uneasy being in my house alone with this stranger who seemed very annoyed with me and wasn’t communicating much. Then, again without saying anything, he started reading the manual of our dryer and tinkering with it. I’m completely in the dark with what he’s doing. He then proceeds to lick his finger and rub it on the inside of our dryer, TWICE. I believe it was to check the water sensor in our dryer, but we have a sink right next to our washer dryer that would have been much more appropriate to use. He still didn’t say anything. Eventually after maybe 10 minutes he was done doing whatever he was doing and went over the dryer with me. He commented that our dryer venting was at the maximum length of recommended and that typically it should be on an exterior wall. I commented that I think it’s so long because the previous owners added a sunroom, so the venting had to feed under the new addition. Dakota responded “I don’t know anything about your sunroom.” Then, he left. Overall, it was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been with a technician in our home. It was not appropriate that he used his own saliva to test something in our dryer. I will not be using Omega again and will be telling friends and family to avoid as well after this experience.

I am very happy with ALL the people I interacted with at Omega. Dakota was very professional and really knew what he was doing and he had to completely take apart the whole freezer to put in the Ice maker. It was a complex install.If needed I will use Omega again!

Nate was so helpful - fixed my older dryer AND could also address issues with my oven. He was personable, knowledgeable and courteous - I would highly recommend this company!!!
