Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

Customer complaint is, rubbing sound when it starts to spin and the sound continues as the dryer is running. Inspected and tested. Found the right rear roller was seized up. Installed 2 new rear rollers and vacuumed out inside of dryer. Tested and dryer sounds great. Dryer is now fixed.

Broken plastic on the latch. The dishwasher is super tight and the inner door was bent. I word the pieces of the latch that were broken.

Customers complaint unit not filling with water went to verify complaint and it was working properly went through test mode also and had no errors. Tried different cycles and was working properly. If happens again maybe stream. See if its actually filling with water and the motor just not running.

Washer hasnt been spinning out or draining until they put it on a drain and spin. Checked pressure sensor dome. Cleaned sludge out of there. That was per the recommendation of GE tech support. Also adjusted drain line so that it isnt 18 down the drain hole. Its about 5 inches down now. Per GE. Ran it for awhile on a regular wash, then on a drain and spin. Noticed as well that there is maybe a 1/8 play between tubs, and makes a rubbing sound when tub is agitating or spinning. Told customer its also possible that the rear bearing could be in the early stages of going bad. Charged minimum labor charge. Explained if it continues with issue, they could be looking at a bearing job. Also recommended cutting back on detergent as there are a lot of suds.

Customer complaint is, does not heat. Inspected and tested. Found the top door switch had failed. Quoted customer $273. to install 3 new door switches. Customer approved repairs. Installed 3 new door switches and tested. Microwave is working great. Microwave is now fixed.

Front right burner not igniting. Found the orfice plugged up with syrup, and the little hole on the burner plugged as well. Cleaned those out along with all the burnt syrup built up on the burner. Still didnt spark. Swapped right burner wires and both spark. Wrapped entire wire for front right in electrical tape and kept wires swapped. When you turn knob for front right burner none of the burners spark. But it sparks with any other knobs turned. Quoted for switch harness. Also quoted for spark module in case it needs both. Customer will probably use as is but will call us in future if they decide to install the parts.

Customer complaint is, does not start. Inspected and tested. Dryer would not start and the light was off on the inside. The stored error was E Hd, but thats not a error on the tech sheet. I unplugged dryer and inspected the board and reassembled. Dryer is now turning on, the drum light is on and heat is cycling between 190F and 100F. There must have been a loose connection somewhere, but cant pinpoint exactly where it was.

Making a loud sound and not washing well. Found the shaft on the gearcase is worn down. The splines on the wash plate are worn down too. Quoted for the gearcase and wash plate, customer has never been a fan of this washer and would rather replace.

Had to take down dryer. Sucked all the water out of the washer. Took apart the filter area. Found an underwire, a hand warmer, sticker, hair, nail, Lego, penny, Bobby pins, etc. cleaned it all out. Works and drains great now.
