Hold unit out and found that the gas line itself is leaking. Looks like the gas line was touching the oven and during the lightning storm, it parked and made a hole. Customer will need the gas line replaced.

NOT COOLING AND FRIDGE NOT COOLING -THERMOSAT IS NOT WORKING - INTERMITTENLY. Customer said temperatures keep fluctuating up and down. FF compartment temperature is 39F and freezer is 0F. I removed the evaporator cover and theres only frost on about 50 percent of the evaporator. I completely defrosted it and after 20 minutes theres only frost on about 60 percent. The sealed system is failing. The other two times I was here it was completely frosted over and I had to defrost it manually and I found both the defrost bimetal was split open and the heater was open. Customer declined repair.

I removed the drawer front and checked for DC voltage on the power harness of the wash control module, 5 volts between pins 1 and 2 , 24 volts from 1 to 3. Also found communication fault codes between user interface and wash module in service tests. Im ordering a new wash control module and will return to install it.Marcone, Sundberg and Dey parts warehouses do not have the needed part in stock. I removed the evaporator fan cover to check the frost pattern on the evaporator, the frost pattern is consistent throughout the entire evaporator assembly. I did find that there was 120 volts to the evaporator fan motor, but the motor isnt moving at all, the fan blades are securely mounted to the fan motor shaft. Customer says her towels are getting frayed. Seems like dryer is getting too hot and when using perm press or delicate the clothes wont get dry. Ran test with dryer vent disconnected and heats up to 190 degrees on normal. I attached vent and heat spiked to 240 degrees which means that dryer vent is not getting good air flow which would cause dryer to get more hot and not venting out the wet air causing in slower drying times. Also the glide holders were not straight causing drum to have more drag. I adjusted holders and now drum spins more freely.Dryer itself is heating and working good.

I figured out that the door is popping open just enough to not read the door as closed and I can get it to do it by messing with the door. Dishwasher needs a new door latch kit. The customer heard a clunking/scraping noise the other day when they were drying a load of laundry, removed some laundry noise continued. Removed all laundry noise continued. I used the SmartHQ device to read any error codes that would indicate a possible problem or fault, all stored codes were at least a year and a half old. The idler pulley wheel and belt are both in place and free from defects. The motor spins freely, blower motor wheel had a build up of sand and lint that I cleaned out. The drum moves by hand easily, but there are scratches towards the front lip, that tells me that the dryer had a heavy pad that unbalanced the drum and caused it to make contact with the metal surrounding the blower motor, the idler belt and pulley have aligned the drum, sits squarely in the cabinet. No parts or repairs required.

The customers in freezer icemaker had ceased production. The icemaker would not go into harvest so I replaced the icemaker assembly. The new icemaker harvested and called for water but water did not flow. We were getting 120 V to the solenoid valve so I replaced the solenoid valve and checked to see if water flowed after that. Water still was not flowing at that point so I shut the water supply off the solenoid valve disconnected it and turn the valve back on to find a low pressure situation. Ultimately, I think it was a low pressure situation, but I replaced all parts anyhow. Customer is going to restore water flow to his refrigerator.

The customers bake and broil flame apertures were not igniting when various cycles were selected. The light in the oven also would not light. I replaced the bake flame igniter because it tested without continuity while receiving line voltage. Once I replace the igniter and plug the machine back in, the bake flame aperture lit. Once the new igniter was in place the lightbulb lit up once again and the broil element would produce a flame. Oven is good for normal every day use again.

NOISE COMING FROM THE BACK. Found the noise is coming from the FF evaporator fan. I removed evaporator cover and found a lot ice buildup around the edges of the cover. The evaporator cover and air duct tower foam is really water logged and expanding so theres not a good seal. Refrigerator needs a new air duct tower part number WR17X35668 and evaporator cover part number WR17X34327.
