Complaint unit not draining. Doors locked with the water inside of it. This is a stacked unit with the dryer on top. Customer washed the rug in the bottom of the rug came apart and clogged everything up. Vacuumed out all the water inside the unit, then had to take off the rubber boot from the drum to the pump, and clean it all out. It was the back of the rug. Once it was clean, reassembled multiple times and cleaned out again to make sure I had as much as possible out of the backing of the rug. Reassembled again multiple times units draining the way it should. Explained customer I would check the filter after running a cycle or two to make sure its cleared out again.

I slid the dishwasher out of the cabinet to access the drain line and the drain pump motor. I removed the drain line that was kinked shut and installed the new line. I removed the defective drain pump and installed the new assembly as well. The dishwasher latch was not connecting with the door strike. The handle seemed very loose and it was not releasing its spring. I removed the handle assembly and installed the replacement part. Once installed, I tried to close the door and it does close. I did adjust the door strike too so that the latch assembly would marry even better. I had the customer operate the door and give it their thumbs up. The new door latch assembly did the trick.

The residents ate unhappy with the extended dry times for each dryer load. I set the appliance to a Timed Dry cycle. The drum tumbles smoothly, the heater produces hot air and the blower motor circulates the air very well. Factors that can affect dry times are 1. Clothes of different weights being dried in Automatic cycles.2. Clogged vents that carry air from the appliance to the house exterior.3. Using liquid fabric softener in your washing machine, diluting it with hot water helps your washing machine rinse out out of clothing.4. Accordion style vents leaking from the dryer to the house can obstruct airflow when the appliance is pushed against the wall.The dryer itself doesnt have any defects or need for repair.

Tripping breaker and not washing well. Found a glass bowl up against the heater. Wash motor runs great. Drain pump runs great. No leaks or drips. Midea tech support when I spoke with them last time said that the only other thing it could possibly be is the UI board. I came back and replaced that today and it didnt fix the issue. On timed dry it stops heating after 4 or 5 minutes. On sending dry it continually cycles heat for the duration of the cycle. I then went outside after 20 minutes and checked vent, and screen is packed with lint. I removed lint, and within a minute the heat came back. And stayed on then. Explained to customer they have an issue with that screen getting clogged. Dryer runs great now.
