REFRIGERATOR NOT COOLING - FROST BUILDING UP IN THE BACK OF FREEZER. FF compartment is 45F and freezer is 4F. I removed the evaporator cover and the evaporator is completely frozen over on the top half and the vents are frozen shut. I turned the heater on and it came on and started defrosting. I checked the thermistor readings and they were close to the temperature reading. I defrosted evaporator and after 20 minutes theres only frost on about 15-20 percent of the evaporator. Found that the door was hitting the edge of the molding trim and freezer door was not fully closing. I moved fridge over slightly and door now closes. Pulled dishwasher and needed to extend the power wire due to hard wire being short. Ran dishwasher outside of cavity and found the sump seal to be leaking. Sump shifted when motor kicked on. Sump is screwed in from the top and those screws were loose. Tightened those screws and now sump isnt shifting when motor comes on. Tightening those screws also sucked the whole sump assembly up about half an inch. Unit now working as it should. If leak continues past this point the sump will need to be replaced.

Door is off and wasnt closing properly. Found a stripped screw that was sticking out quick a bit on the hinge. Also, hinge on top was flat and not the curved hinge it requires. Replaced hinge with required curved one they had in the install kit. Went to hardware store and bought two screws for the hinge that had a stripped screw, and then installed that. Adjusted the door so it doesnt catch on the racks, and steamed off door gasket which had lost its shape and wasnt sealing all the way.

I removed the old compressor, drier filter and condenser coil. I cleaned the existing refrigerant lines on the refrigerator and the new sealed system components. I brazed in the new components and pulled a deep vacuum from the high and low sides of the system. Once a deep enough vacuum was present, I charged the system with 4.76 ounces of R134 refrigerant, the high and low side pressures were ideal , the refrigerator cavities are cooling down to set temp too.

Disassembled and bypassed the belt switch, had power going to the igniter but no amp draw. NOT COOLING AND FRIDGE NOT COOLING -THERMOSAT IS NOT WORKING - INTERMITTENLY. Customer said temperatures keep fluctuating up and down. FF compartment temperature is 39F and freezer is 0F. I removed the evaporator cover and theres only frost on about 50 percent of the evaporator. I completely defrosted it and after 20 minutes theres only frost on about 60 percent. The sealed system is failing. The other two times I was here it was completely frosted over and I had to defrost it manually and I found both the defrost bimetal was split open and the heater was open. Customer declined repair.
