Ive seen at least 4 or 5 of these Whirlpool refrigerators that have had this issue that after power cycling it works perfectly. The customer said the dishwasher does not clean the dishes. I started the dishwasher and waited for the motor to come on. The wash pump just hums. I pulled the wash motor out and then took it apart to inspect it. There was nothing stuck in the pump. I cleaned the shaft and put some grease on the bottom of the motor shaft. I put the motor back in and put it back together. I reset the control and ran the dishwasher. Now it fills and washes. Its working good for now. I advised the customer to use it and if it happens again it will need a new motor W1161232.

Fresh food section to warm. Verified complaint. Noticed the evap fan not running customer stated the evap fan was making some noise then it stopped working. Tried to remove the evap cover but was frozen in. Turned defrost mode on and test with an amp reading to make sure it was working properly. It was. Steamed out ice then got evap cover out. The top had a ice build up around the fan. Removed the ice then tested fan. The fan is working properly. Next tested sensors and they are working properly. After steaming I notice the defrost drain was plugged. Steamed out and cleared the defrost drain. Someone once before installed the defrost drain kit. Reassembled unit its working properly.

"Customer complaint is, UE ERROR CODE AND ITS NOT GETTING OFF BALANCE. Inspected and tested. Ran washer through service diagnostics and everything worked perfectly. I had customer put a load of clothes in washer and started a speed wash and watched it through the first rinse and spin and it gave the UE randomly when it was spinning perfectly without shaking. I never saw it shake or get off balance. Im not exactly sure whats going on, but looking on appliantology it looks like it probably needs a new board or rotor or possibly both. Customer is just going to replace the washer."

"The customers complaint is the dishwasher. Top rack is broken, it wont drain, and it leaves residue on dishes. Upon arrival and inspection, I found a blockage in the ultralong drain hose that was not installed correctly. I cleared this blockage and installed a high loop so it wouldnt fill up with garbage again. I tested the water and found they had hard water and they do not have a softener. I recommended a citric acid base cleaner once a month and then upgrade in cleaning chemicals. I quoted for fixing the rack but they decided theyll fix it themselves. The dishwasher is now fixed."

Ran washer through service diagnostics mode and everything worked perfectly and sounded great. I had customer put a load of towels in the washer and started a speed wash cycle and washer has a squeak to it when its agitating, but sounds good in a spin. I cant pinpoint exactly were its coming from, but I think its either the springs on top part number MHY62805901 or shock absorbers on the bottom part number 383EER3001V. If I had to guess I would say its the springs on top. . If its covered, I need 2 springs and 3 shocks. Also this is a stacked unit with a gas dryer on top and its going to take a long time to unstack dryer for this repair. I need 3 hours. ; saved tckt"

"The dryer is not tumbling, the dryer is noisy and the customer says it takes a long time to dry. I took the dryer apart. I found one of the front rollers was not spinning and had a flat spot. The belt was completely falling apart and it was upside down. The dryer is full of lint and hair. I vacuumed out the dryer, I replaced the roller and belt. I oiled the remaining rollers. The dryer is older but the house is newer. The dryer is on the second floor so it most likely vents out the roof. I did a airflow test and heat test. The air flow is poor, the heat never got over 154 and it takes a long time to heat up. I advised the customer to have the dryer duct checked out. The duct in the back is ok. High was 154 Low was around 143 When I disconnected the duct the high was up to 200 and the low was 115 ; used 1 WP33002535 (BELT), and 1 4581EL2002h (ROLLER) from stock"

The customer said the washer is loud and shakes if a high speed spin is selected. I put in 5-6 large towels and ran the washer for 30 minutes on a wash cycle. I put it on a high speed spin. The front feet were lifting off the ground. I adjusted and locked the front feet. I advised when the washer is on the second level you can get more vibration. No problems found.

Last visit the washer is dead. I was getting 120 volts in the filter board but nothing out. Today I replaced the filter board and the washer flashed on and off in a second. I could. Smell burning from the main board. I left the washer unplugged and removed the filter board. I texted the customer a new estimate for the repair. "Customer complaint is, THE DRYER IS MAKING NOISE AND IT GET SMALL EXPLOSION,AND GOES ON AND OFF. Inspected and tested. The noise is coming from the burner when it ignites. The ignitor glows and then the valve opens and initially you get a small flame and then it goes whoosh and ignites fully and then works perfectly. Heat is cycling great between 220F and 100F on high heat. The valve assembly and ignitor have been replaced under the manufacture warranty for the same reason and its doing the exact same thing. I installed new gas valve coils and tested and its the same. I think there has to be a gas supply issue. ; used 1 5303931775 (COIL KIT) from stock"

"Today the whole unit was not cooling. I had to completely recover the refrigerant and installed a valve on the low side. I also replaced the filter drier. I added about 2 ounces of refrigerant. My suction pressure was around 55 psi and the high side pressure was around 60 psi. Those pressures indicate the compressor has failed. I gave the customer the new quote for the compressor job replacement. I went to Sundberg and got a compressor. I replaced the compressor and then added nitrogen to test for leaks. I got the pressure up to 200 psi, I found no leaks from the evaporator or from my solder connections. I blew out the nitrogen and hooked up the vacuum pump. I let the pump run for 15 minutes and pulled it down to 500 microns. I charged 5.11 ounces of 134a refrigerant. While it was off and pulling a vacuum I did the software update. The suction pressure was 20 psi and dropping. The high side had good heat and the condenser was starting to get warm. I advised the customer to wait 24 hours before adding food. ; pckd up 1 TCA38151706 (Compressor)"

So let him know needs booth hooked up or it will sense the water isnt entering correctly. Put unit to a spin and it will not kick on the motor. Found that motor has failed.
