Notes from real Omega Force service calls: the appliance, the problem we found and how we fixed it.

The oven would not reach preheat. I pulled the oven out and tested bake element. The bake element is bad. I removed it and it was broken in a bunch of spots. I quoted the customer for the repair. I replaced the bake element and re installed the broil element. The oven is now heating up good.

Not heating. Cleaned out a bunch of lint, cleaned and oiled two rollers that were stuck and cleaned and oiled pully that was stuck due to lint and dog hair. Replaced bad element, and now it runs and heats great.

Unit was giving flow sense and making noise. The flow sense is for bad air flow. Checked that first found the vent cover outside was plugged in plugged lint and all good. Vent is really short only a foot long. Then disassembled unit to find noise complaints. Found that a paper towel was stuck in blower wheel. Once cleared oiled rollers and idler and reassembled. Unit is now operating correctly

Leaking washer, I found it was plumbed improperly they need to fix the drain line configuration and fix the leaking deep sink plumbing. The washer has no issues, it was an installation issue.

Found that the thermistor is out of range causing dryer to get too hot and opened the thermal fuse. Customer approved estimate. Replaced thermistor and fuse, tested and dryer is heating and cycling heat normally. Dryer is working good.

Found that cold control was bad and not turning on compressor. Customer approved to use the universal one. Replaced, tested and compressor turns on and is cooling.

The customer said that after she has done a few loads in a row the 3rd or 4th load of laundry it will not agitate or spin but it does drain the water. I ran it with a large heavy load for about 30 minutes. The washer is agitating well and it will drain and spin well. The motor coupler is in good shape, the lid switch is in good shape. The transmission is leaking oil and the motor is a little smelly. I believe the motor is just being over worked so it will shut off on the overload and then when it cools down it comes back on. I gave the customer a quote for replacing the transmission, motor and coupler.

Customer complaint is, no heat and last load went for several hours. Inspected and tested. Found the thermal fuse was blown. Installed new thermal fuse and tested. Dryer is heating great and cycling between 235F and 110F and airflow on outside of house is 20mph. Dryer is now fixed.
