Getting black flakes inside washer on clothes, and the lid lock catches sometimes. Called tech support. They said theyve never encountered the lid lock having issues, and they said unless customer has been running the clean cycle consistently since they bought it, they will get black flakes. I did tell them how to run afresh through the washer properly. And checked under the agitator plate, and cleaned some scum off of that. Lots of scrum. Attached photos. Just charging labor for doing a 45 minute deep cleaning, taking it all apart and scrubbing with a Brillo pad.

SHUTS OFF AFTER PREHEAT. Customer said the display will just go dead and will eventually turn back on by itself. There is a service bulletin from GE for this issue and it says to install a piece of insulation under the board to prevent the moisture from getting to the board. Installed insulation and tested. Oven preheated to 400F without any issues and cycled for a little while without shutting down. Range is now fixed.

The motion of the drum tumbling was producing a knocking noise. I removed the top and the door assembly of the dryer, I didnt find any objects making contact with any moving parts on unit appliance cabinet. The idler pulley arm wasnt moving smoothly, the drum belt was worn out and the drum wheels had a flat spot in them. I replaced all four parts and reassembled the dryer, plugged it in and started a cycle. The drum tumbles smoothly and quietly again , the air flow is strong and the flame is the ideal size for the appliance.

When I got here today customer said it was leaking underneath some of the times they ran it after I left: I checked and found water was running down the front of the washer and then dripping under it, due to a lot of hair on bottom of the door glass and gasket. I ran another load and noticed that water in wash tub wasnt draining down and water would fill above the drain hose and washer would suck water back in the washer. Plug unit in everything started to run compressor, fans , lights. But the pressure is never changed on the gauges telling me that we have bad compressor. Quoted blue bug for new compressor replacement. Customer approved estimate. Installed new compressor once it was installed. Pressure tested up to 200 psis for leaks then vacuumed under 300 ?m. Build proper amount of refrigerant. Reassembled unit plug unit in everything started operate correctly and pressures were good. The customers dishwasher had been leaking water. They had the appliance pulled out on arrival. Once I felt that the water was hot. I immediately looked at the dishwasher supply line. I found a leak at the garden hose end that connects to the dishwasher inlet valve. I shut water off to the dishwasher, and disconnected the supply lined from the appliance. I inspected the inlet valve to see if it had been cross threaded during the original installation and it hadnt. So I reconnected a new dishwasher supply line from truck stock. Once the new water supply line was in place I restored water flow to the dishwasher to verify that there was not any more leaks present. The owner did not have me reinstall the dishwasher because he wants to clean out the cabinet where the leak occurred. He said he would slide the machine back in on his own. I did install the new dishwasher noise insulation for the customer.

Customer said that they had the ice maker replaced 1 year ago and only worked for a week or so. Found that ice maker was turned off when i got here, i turned on ice maker and ran test and it cycles. I showed customer how to turn on/off ice maker. I informed customer to let 72 hours and see if ice is made.Screw was loose and caused the freezer door handle to fall off. I put locktite and secure screws. Door handle is secure.Also found that the freezer door cables broke off and is getting caught and causing door to be hard to open or close. I informed customer that they can be cut off and door will operate normal. ERROR F9 E1. Customer said it randomly gives a F9E1 error, but works for weeks in between. I started a heavy cycle and watched it fill, wash and drain and everything is working perfectly. I filled and drained multiple times and its working perfectly. The dishwasher is not right beside the sink, so they have a black rubber extension hose that goes down into the basement and then comes back up to the sink. Ive seen these hoses cause lots of draining issues. I recommended customer replace the rubber extension hose with a plastic dishwasher extension hose and quoted customer to install new extension hose. Customer approved installing new drain hose extension. I removed the black rubber hose and installed new plastic dishwasher drain hose extension.
