Speed Queen Stacked Washer Repair. Have been finding black flecks. I did a flush twice of the washer, running water though it and using my wet vac to suck it out. Used a pipe cleaner to scrub around the outer tub rim, which had a lot of black scum built up. Also did a thorough cleaning of the inner tub and bellow. Spoke with employee here about Affresh and recommended doing a couple tablets each month on a hot cycle. This cleaning I did is in conjunction with the recommendation of affresh. Ran the washer on a hot cycle for 10 minutes to let it break up more scum. Did a drain, then a drain and spin. Much cleaner now but still recommend affresh now too to finish getting these tubs all clean.

The moisture was so backed up in the dryer it was dripping through the basement ceiling and running down the side of the house. Everything good now. Then I noticed the motor squealed loud and was binding up: replaced a bad motor. But still wouldnt go though calibration. Found two broken wires coming to capacitor. I put new connector on the end of the red wires and have continuity to the main pcb. Also spliced on new connector to broken orange wire coming to the capacitor and now it goes all the way through calibration and runs great. Now it runs great.

The unit does not call for heat, theres no voltage traveling to the gas valve for ignition, theres a bad thermistor in the circuit. The high limit thermal fuse tests bad, needs to be replaced. Once I replaced the non resettable thermal fuse and turned fuel supply back on to the dryer, the heat cycle started exactly as expected. The vents are clear, the dryer tumbles smoothly, the unit is good as new.

Upon arrival, I discovered that it had frosted up in the same way as last time we did the diagnostic mode and checked the defrost heater again. It appeared as though the defrost bimetal was open. Went ahead and replaced the failed defrost bimetal. Deducted what customer paid from total cost repair. Machine should go through its defrost cycle and return to normal operation. Did partially defrost the evaporator before reassembling the machine. Everything looks great at this time.

Upon arrival, inspected the pump and found it to be the same issue as last time. A wire had pulled loose from the terminal that I installed and was causing the drain not to be able to run. I think the machine could really benefit from a cabinet cleaning so Im gonna take the unit apart and clean out the inner cabinet.
