REFRIGERATOR & FREEZER REPAIR TIPS
- Make sure the unit is plugged in — plug a lamp into the outlet to verify it has power.
- Make sure the water connection to the fridge is turned on if you have an ice maker.
- If the exterior of the fridge is hot, clean the coils behind the unit and under the unit.
- If the water coming from the water dispenser is slow, change the filter before calling for refrigerator repair service.
- Unplug the unit for 2 minutes and plug it back in to reboot any circuit boards.
- If you aren’t using the ice maker, make sure it is turned off.
- Record any error codes you see.
- Newer fridges need to be in an area warmer than 40 degrees to work properly.

"The customer is concerned about the water flue to their refrigerator, it has leaked in the past and they want to find out what needs to be repaired.The water inlet valve has a defective solenoid that is allowing water into the fridge even if the ice maker and water dispenser arent calling for it. The water filter housing has a defective seal that isnt water tight, the seal is internal and cant be replaced by itself. Im building an estimate for both parts plus an OEM water filter.Customer accepted my estimate and I will return a week from today to install the parts. Please schedule for the AM of 4/25/2024. I ordered the parts from Dey Appliance.; used 1 WR57X33326 (I/M VALVE - WATER INLET), 1 WR02X45206 (I/M VALVE - WATER INLET), and 1 MWFP (I/M VALVE - WATER INLET) from stock"

"Discovered a broken waterline on the back of the machine, preventing water from going into the icemaker. Fixed with a bit of tubing and a John guest fitting. Tested icemaker and it seems to be functioning complete
